Choose access around your review workflow
FoodChainAPI helps identify candidate FDA Food Traceability List categories from food descriptions. Use a candidate to begin a product review, then check the exact specification, product form, activities, and exemptions against FDA sources. Classification does not collect your shipping, receiving, or transformation records.
Start by testing representative products in the free lookup. Include ambiguous names, excluded forms, and ingredients in mixed foods. Save unresolved questions for review instead of interpreting an empty result as an exemption. Check the API reference for the current response format before designing an integration.
Where a plan offers early access, the button opens an email form for that plan. Joining records interest; it does not activate a paid subscription or confirm production access. Select the plan that fits your expected lookup needs and retain the product evidence your team will need to explain its decisions.
